Many question if pomegranates can be grown in India’s climate. Indeed, pomegranate trees need ample sunlight… but it depends on the variety!
The «Güleysha» variety is less sensitive to temperature changes and requires no special care. Thanks to improvements by local breeders, this variety grows successfully in open fields across India, yielding fruits up to 550 grams. The seeds are juicy and richly colored.

The «Güleysha» pomegranate is an early-fruiting variety that we proudly cultivate. It starts bearing fruit in the second year and blooms in the first year (when planted in spring). This pomegranate tree variety is classified as early ripening. In our conditions, the bush or tree grows up to 1.5 meters tall with a sprawling crown.
The fruits are large and medium-sized, weighing between 250 and 500 grams, round in shape, dark red/carmine in color, and striped. The skin is thin, two-layered in cross-section, with a pink hue. The seeds are large and medium-sized, dark purple in color, with a sweet-and-sour taste, and the seeds are barely noticeable. It is frost-resistant down to -31 °C.
These stable temperature tolerances were achieved through years of dedicated work by our breeders. They managed to preserve the large fruit size of the Azerbaijani giant while reducing the need for constant sunlight and taking into account prolonged frosts. This variety adapts excellently and yields a good harvest regardless of the growing region in India.
